By ferry - fast visa!

You are coming on a ferry to St. Petersburg then you can get 3 days (72 hours) visa without preliminary bureaucratic procedures with visa.

    • Bosnia and Herzegovina (*30 days for tourists)

    • Columbia (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • Cuba (30 days)
    • Ecuador (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • Guatemala (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • Hong Kong (14 days)
    • Israel (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • Kazakhstan
    • Kirgizia
    • Macao (30 days)
    • Moldova
    • Montenegro (30 days)
    • Nicaragua (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • Peru (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • South Korea (60 days and up to 90 days within 180 days)
    • Serbia (30 days)
    • Tajikistan
    • Thailand (30 days)
    • Turkey (30days, the whole period of stay cannot exceed 90 days during period of 180 days)
    • Uzbekistan
    • Uruguay (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
    • Venezuela (up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry)
      The list of countries is based on official MID (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) information actual on the 1st April 2013.

In addition to above it is strongly discussed between Russia and Schengen countries for 30 days free without visa. Before that was only rumors but now it’s a fact that protocol between Schengen countries and Russian Federation are in final stage of negotiating.

For other occasions please check with closest Russian consulate for the consultation. In case you want to see the whole country then you would need more than three days. You would have to decide which visa type you are going to make.

It’s also important to know that usually you cannot change visa type or prolong your stay while you are in the country. You can apply for prolongation of visa but mostly it’s related to business, student or diplomatic cases.
