The biggest rock concert in Europe was held June, 8, in Samara. German band Rammstein took part in the concert. The next day, they went to travel by steam-ship along the river Volga.
They visited the village Shiryaevo, located on the bank of the river. Grandmothers of the village met them bread and salt.
The musicians signed autographs: on the piece of paper, on the guitar and even on the five thousandth bank note.
When the villagers offered to take a photo with them, a frontman Till Lindemann replied in Russian, “Davay”( "Let's!"). And musicians did a photo shoot with jolly grandmothers.
Then a choir from grandmothers. sang for the guests a song. The musicians liked the song.
After that the Germans sat down into the horse's cart. They surveyed the surroundings of Shiryaevo.
We also want to know more about the place where the famous musicians travelled.
Shiryaevo - is a village in Samara region on the right bank of the Volga within Zhigulevsky reserve, in the wide valley near the Zhiguli Mountains.
The settlement got its name from the words "spacious", "broad", as it is located in a large picturesque valley between the mountains, on the banks of the Volga.
The history of the village began in 1628 during the reign of Mikhail Fedorovich.
Grigory Orlov was the favorite of Catherine II. Orlov and his brother accompanied empress during her journey along the Volga from Tver to Simbirsk in 1767. Empress gave him the village Shiryaevo. And since 1768, these lands became part of the estate of Count Orlov-Davydov.
In 1870 the famous Russian artist Ilya Repin spent here the summer. The artist wrote in his book - "What is most striking in the river Volga- is the space, which we could not place in our albums. The artist made a sketch of the painting "Barge Haulers on the Volga" in Shiryaevo.
Repin wrote in his diary :
“My first drawing with a group of children on the beach ended in scandal. The children were happy, receiving money for their help to the artist. But the mothers forced them to give up the money. And only the inveterate Barge Haulers agreed to pose”.
The village has a museum complex, which includes a museum of the artist Ilya Репин and a museum of the poet Shiryaevits.
In front of the museum deployed ethnographic exhibition, which presents examples of Russian wooden carvings, wells, carts, boats.

You can climb to the observation deck and enjoy the open spaces of the Volga from height of the bird's flight.
Our guests from Germany after a walk were hungry. And grandmothers gave them pancakes and jam from green fir cones.
When they asked two grandmothers whether they knew Ramstein. "We do not know him. We understood that the senator Hinstein would come (the similar pronunciation ) and have prepared a song for him. But we do not know Ramstein "- they replied.
But the fans, who were at a rock concert, later wrote on the forum.
-The Festival was excellent. I am delighted by Ramstein.
-How I envy the residents from Shiryaevo.
-I would like to be a grandmother from Shiryaevo.
The fate can not satisfy people.
Grandmothers waited for a senator. But they met the German musicians.
Fans of the band would like to be grandmothers of Shiryaevo.
But what does the musicians want?
Maybe they want to return to these blessed places again to meet the friendly villagers.
