15.04.2013 - two private pilots from Moscow Dmitry Rakitsky and Michael Farih completed an unique expedition.
At the just-certified Russian helicopter Robinson R66 Turbine, they committed flight Bunkovo - Vorkuta - Dixon - Northern land - the land of Franz Joseph. The purpose of the pilot was Rudolf Island - the most northern point of land, owned by the Russian Federation and at the same time, the northernmost point of Eurasia.
Here Dmitry and Michael took part in a project to search for traces of the lost polar expedition schooner "St. Anna".
But there was one idea that the pilots were able to make! The North Pole is only 1,000 km from the island of Rudolph and two of our hero is not afraid to win this rugged, almost unheard corner of the world on his R66!
They were the first once who did it!
